The Eighth Pediatric Hematology Oncology Support Services Conference in India to run parallel to PHOCON this year from 22nd to 23rd November 2024 in Jammu.

Pediatric Oncology Social Support Services Conference is a parallel track started in 2016 after discussion between the PHO Secretary (Dr. Brijesh Arora) and Cankids, akin to SIOP (International Society of Pediatric Oncology) and CCI on an international level. The goal is to build parent, survivor and social support organizations for childhood cancer and encourage and share best practices. The target audiences for this conference are decision makers and senior management in Social Support Organizations. Donors, Philanthropists, Doctors, Scientists, Researchers and individuals from treating centers committed to social support, outreach, and treatment supportive care.

PHOSSCON is an opportunity for all those engaged in making a change for childhood cancer to achieve the following:

November 2015, CanKids... KidsCan (www.cankidsindia.org) was invited by the Executive Body of Pediatric hematology oncology chapter (PHO) of The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) to create and organize a parallel track for social support services and organizations for the first time ever. Last year PHO has prepared and roll out the new SOP to organize PHOSSCON. As per the SOP, PHOSSCON will be organized by PHOSSCON Organizing Committee of NGOs working for the cause of childhood cancers.

A PHOSSCON Organizing Committee of NGOs working for the cause of childhood cancers has been constituted by the following NGOs. The Organizing Committee shall work with the PHO executive and the LOC of PHOCON to execute PHOSSCON.
